Overview

Mechanical Maintenance Contracts Supervisor – West London


Salary: up to £60k (DOE), plus overtime. Company vehicle and employee package.


My client, a leading specialist Mechanical Contractor, is expanding their team and recruiting for an experienced Mechanical / HVAC Supervisor to ensure that Reactive Maintenance and Remedial Works are planned and executed in accordance with contract requirements across Mechanical Services, Heating Services and associated systems on key Healthcare sites in West London.


Responsibilities

  • High level of communication, reporting to line management and client contacts, fostering collaboration with line managers and client teams.
  • Adherence to engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements, ensuring the engineering team complies.
  • Understand BMS and Control Systems associated with Mechanical Plant and Equipment to assist fault diagnosis and correct setup.
  • Supervise the team in all aspects of work, undertaking people management activities such as safety briefings, absence reporting, performance reviews, annual leave and timesheet approvals. Plan and arrange staff training to support development.
  • Ensure that you and the team undertake repairs to HVAC Plant and Associated Systems to a high standard.
  • Ensure that you and the team undertake installation, alteration and repairs to pipework systems to a high standard and in good time to minimise downtime.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to Helpdesk-related reactive maintenance issues for heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipework and related mechanical systems, ensuring the team does likewise.
  • Working hours are 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday with substantial overtime.

Requirements

  • Experienced Contracts Supervisor (Mechanical) with a proactive fault-finding approach; able to articulate necessary steps and actions to clients.
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2/3 - Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 6187 or similar.
  • Experience in mechanical aspects of general building services, repair and installation.
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience working with and repairing Mechanical Systems and Heating, ideally in a healthcare or additional critical environment setting.
  • Authorised Person - Mechanical (Desirable).
