Location: PE2 6SE, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, UKMechanical Fitter – Manufacturing, Start your new career in JanuarySalary: £26,500 – £31,500 DOE + Overtime Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pmWise Employment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organisation for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to start your new career in January, working in a modern manufacturing environment focused on the assembly, maintenance and refurbishment of mobile industrial water treatment systems.Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mechanical builds while maintaining strict safety, quality and environmental standards.Key Responsibilities: Assemble, install, maintain and repair mechanical components and equipmentComplete routine and preventative maintenance tasksRefurbish and fabricate parts to support productionCalibrate and validate instruments to ensure accuracy and complianceRead and interpret technical drawings and specificationsWork independently and collaboratively with fitters, welders, electricians and fabricatorsAdhere to EHS standards, safety risk assessments and 5S housekeeping practicesContribute to LEAN / KAIZEN continuous improvement initiativesAttend training sessions, team meetings and support overtime when required Skills & Experience Required: Proven mechanical assembly experience within an industrial environmentExperience with PVC and stainless-steel pipework, valves and fittingsCompetent use of hand and power toolsStrong understanding of health, safety and quality complianceSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable: MIG and/or TIG welding experience or certificationFamiliarity with water treatment systems Benefits Include: 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays (with buy/sell options)Private healthcare and dental coverEnhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay from day one10% employer pension contributionLife insurance (10x salary) and income protectionLifestyle and wellbeing benefits, including gym discounts and paid volunteering leave If you're ready to start your new career in January and join a forward-thinking employer offering stability, progression and excellent benefits, we'd love to hear from you.To achieve the higher salary, you will need to demonstrate your ability to meet the key criteria of the role by past experience and during the interview process.TPBN1_UKTJ
