Overview

Mechanical Fitter

We are working with an established design/manufacturer of bespoke machinery based in Halifax. We have an excellent reputation for producing quality equipment for our partners and supplying a diverse range of bespoke equipment to a variety of industries in the UK and worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Fit and assemble new machinery and other sub-assemblies.
  • Work with the R&D department to build to assembly drawings and follow the processes in order to prepare machines for production.
Qualifications
  • Must have over 3 years hands-on working experience as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Engineering Qualification (ONC/BTEC/NVQ) or QBE would be an advantage
  • Mechanical fitting/assembly experience is required at least 3 years
  • Must have workshop knowledge of fabrication, welding and machining (desirable)
  • Must be willing to transfer and learn new skills as required for the role
  • Have good mechanical dexterity and hand/eye coordination
  • Own tools would be beneficial
Benefits
  • 4 Day working week (36 hours Monday to Thursday)
  • Varied start times between 06:00 – 07:00
