Mechanical Engineering Design Lead

We are working with a leading telecommunications company based in Cambridge who are looking to a Mechanical Design Lead to their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position with occasional international travel required.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and lead on the design, development and production of NPD.
• Provide technical guidance for design requirements.
• Oversee mechanical engineering processes, including drawing review and approval.
• Manage and support engineers within the mechanical team.
• Work with third part suppliers.
• Ensure designs are of the highest quality with repeatable processes in place.

The successful candidate will have:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree BSc / BEng / HND qualification or relevant experience.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Experienced working across full product development within manufacturing and injection moulding.
• Experienced electromechanical and rf systems.
• Extensive experience with stakeholder management.
