This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking business in a Mechanical Engineer role. This business have a strong product range and have been and established employer in the local area. As a business they place a large emphasis on continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing, so the role would be well suited to a candidate with a similar mindset. The business provide superb training with a defined plan in place for each position they hire, and would be well suited to a candidate with experience in a mechanical engineering, ranging from design, R&D and production engineering.


Responsibilities

  • Designing solutions on CAD (Solid Works)
  • Creating new parts on the ERP system for new design iterations coming through as orders
  • Resolving issues that may arise in production relating to the products
  • Contributing to the R&D RoadMap (Product Development Strategy)
  • Working closely with customers and support team to resolve issues
  • Providing technical support and training to development and support team
  • Utilise use of Lean Thinking to eliminate waste from our processes and designs and make things simple

Requirements

  • Understanding of mechanical processes involved in assembly.
  • Continuous improvement background.
  • Experience with Solidworks.
  • Experience of product design and development.
