The Opportunity
Join a leading engineering consultancy supporting a top-tier COMAH chemical facility. This is your chance to take ownership of mechanical projects, drive reliability improvements, and play a key role in process safety initiatives.
We would also welcome applications from candidates in oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, power generation, or heavy manufacturing.
This role would suit candidates currently working as Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Project Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Plant Engineer, Design Engineer, Asset Integrity Engineer, Engineering Coordinator, Mechanical Project Manager, or Engineering Supervisor.
Your duties and responsibilities will be

Lead mechanical-focused projects from concept through to completion, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Deliver technical expertise and guidance on mechanical systems to support plant operations and improvement initiatives.
Develop and implement robust maintenance strategies to optimise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
Carry out detailed mechanical design work, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments, including HAZOP studies, to identify and mitigate potential hazards.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in engineering and maintenance within a COMAH-regulated chemical, pharmaceutical, or petrochemical environment.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and associated safety legislation.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
