A nationally significant environmental engineering programme is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Technician to join the team delivering one of the UKs most complex and important infrastructure projects. This long-term decommissioning initiative will ensure the safe processing and storage of legacy materials, supporting environmental protection for decades to come.

Working closely with the Commissioning Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in preparing, testing, and bringing mechanical systems into operation. This includes process systems, vessels, pumps, and associated plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety as the highest priority, following nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental safety procedures.
  • Carry out mechanical commissioning and testing activities across all project stages.
  • Support the preparation of commissioning test documentation.
  • Assist in implementing and tracking First-Off Builds (FOBs) and Technical Queries (TQs).
