Offers will be made based on the condition that a graduate role is available at the time of your graduation and that you achieve a min of 2:2.The roleA position has become available for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering placement student at Caterpillar (NI) Limited, located in Larne within the Electric Power Division Global Solutions Engineering team. The group is responsible for custom power product design of equipment for diesel and gas-powered generators. Global Process Excellence placements offer placement students real life product experience in a customer focused environment.Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Oversee and assess product quality and warranty performance. Manage projects aimed at enhancing product quality and minimising warranty claims. Monitor and evaluate compliance with product standards. Serve as a liaison with shop floor personnel involved in product assembly and manufacturing. Successfully complete foundational training in engineering standards and apply acquired knowledge. Perform any other assigned tasks promptly to support EPD.* Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.As the type of roles within our business are becoming more diverse, we are looking for people who are open minded, excellent problem solvers and who have an ability to learn quickly.
