The Princess Grace Hospital, London — Full time 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 0800 - 1630 with on call and weekends also required 1 in 5). Permanent. Competitive salary per annum + excellent benefits.

We’re looking for a Plumbing/ Mechanical Engineer to join our Estates team based at The Princess Grace Hospital. This role is vital in ensuring a first class building maintenance service within the hospital and satellite sites, covering reactive, project and scheduled maintenance work.

What You’ll Do
  • To carry out plumbing duties and Mechanical plant PPMS e.g. AHUs, Split Units, Fan Coils, Compressors.
  • Support with cross discipline PPMs as required water safety PPMs, Patient room PPMs
  • To work on planned preventive maintenance schedules, in line with departmental goals and objectives.
  • To respond to emergency maintenance and reactive maintenance as requested
  • To prioritise work requests and carry them out efficiently
  • To supervise external contractors as directed by the Chief Engineer
  • To carry out all work in adherence to Health and Safety and COSHH policies and guidelines.
  • To document all work accurately
  • To assist in projects as required
What You’ll Bring
  • Qualified in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ plumbing/ mechanical, or an engineering building services qualification
  • Previous experience within a Hospital or similar organisation
  • Health and Safety, COSHH
  • General knowledge of Fire regulations
  • Excellent customer care and communication skills
  • Must have a flexible approach to work
  • Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills
