University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking to appoint a M&E Manager (Mechanical) to be accountable for the Engineering Infrastructure, technical delivery and compliance of all UAL Campus buildings, partnering with the Hard FM term contractor.

Your Profile

As M&E Manager (Mechanical), you will support and manage all engineering requirements across mechanical and electrical, ensuring UAL meets statutory and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include providing performance information on engineering infrastructure to the Head of Technical FM Services and working with colleagues to ensure seamless service across UAL Colleges.


We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with competency across M&E. The ideal candidate will have:



  • Qualified Mechanical Engineer with ONC/HNC level (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record with Hard FM teams and estate maintenance operations
  • Experience in managing long‑term maintenance, refurbishment projects and capital works
  • Knowledge of life‑cycle costing, legislation and best practice
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive stakeholder engagement
