Lead Mechanical Engineer - TechBio


Newton Colmore is partnered with a TechBio company in Cambridge and we are hiring for a lead mechanical engineer to join the team.


Responsibilities

  • Utilise mechanical design engineering knowledge, problem-solving and 3D modelling skills to create novel solutions for real-world engineering and scientific problems. Work on optical, fluidic and thermal mechanical systems to enable innovation in the biotechnology sector.
  • Identify product requirements, define technical solutions for the product and generate concepts and system approaches.
  • Transfer designs through to manufacture and conduct competing technical analyses to ensure the product is safe, reliable and scalable.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing complex mechanical systems within a highly regulated sector.
  • Impressive academic record.
  • SolidWorks and Creo knowledge would be ideal, as would experience transferring designs to manufacture.
