What Division will I be working in?

Enterprise Flex-E-Rent is our commercial vehicle rental division, providing services tailored to the needs of commercial vehicle hire customers from locations all across the UK and Ireland. Join our team and be one of the people driving our growth.

Salary

  • Negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

As an Automotive Technician, you would be an integral part of our day to day functions.

  • To undertake all wiring, mechanical/hydraulic assembly and inspection of Acklea products as directed in technical drawings and customer specifications.
  • Assist other trade personnel as required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
  • Undertake maintenance, inspection and repair activities at customer depots as directed by the Workshop Supervisor or the Workshop Manager.
  • Undertake general workshop duties.
  • Other duties that may be required from time to time by the Company
  • Actively suggest and encourage quality improvements to Acklea products and systems.
  • Demonstrate good fault diagnostic skills.
  • Maintain good productivity levels.
  • Ensure the correct PPE is worn/used and report any failings through the reporting procedure
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, is legible and handed in on time.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner both at Acklea, in customer depots and whilst driving, treating members of the public with courtesy at all times.
  • Highlight any shortfalls or issues relating to safety or maintenance immediately to the appropriate manager.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area and ensure all tooling and specialist equipment is checked, tested and compliant in line with company policy.
  • Maintain sufficient security measures to prevent theft of company/personal property

Qualifications

  • A Full UK / Irish / EU Manual Driving Licence
  • 6 points or fewer on your driving licence (for insurance purposes)
  • Aged 21 or above (for insurance purposes)
  • Level 3 NVQ or Equivalent in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience of auto electrics / mechanics desired
  • Organisational skills
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Have a flexible and positive approach to work
  • The ability to pass a security check that includes Criminality, Financial and Employment References
