First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) – Barnsley | GP Practice-Based | No Community Travel

Pure Physiotherapy is seeking an experienced and autonomous First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) to join our growing team in Barnsley. This is a clinic-based role embedded within local GP practices—no on-the-road travel required. As an FCP, you’ll be the first point of contact for MSK patients, providing rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management without the need for GP referral. You’ll work independently within primary care while being supported by a robust clinical network, including roadmap supervisors, line managers, and a wider regional team.

• Deliver expert MSK care within scope of practice, supporting GPs and streamlining patient pathways
  
• Promote self-management strategies to reduce reliance on medication and improve mobility
  
• Integrate fully with PCN teams and adapt to the evolving needs of primary care
  
• Maintain accurate, HCPC-compliant clinical documentation
  
• Represent Pure Physiotherapy’s values through clear, compassionate communication
  

• 
  
• HCPC registration and BSc in Physiotherapy
  
• Minimum 5 years’ MSK experience
  
• Excellent communication, time management, and IT skills
  
• A proactive, empathetic, and adaptable approach to care
  

• 
  
• Postgraduate or master’s level qualification
  
• Roadmap Stage 1 and/or 2 completion
  

Salary £38,000.00 - £52,000.00
