Report to: Department Supervisor


Overview

To carry out tasks throughout the production process within the new build manufacturing department. Building and assembling products to specification and ensuring all work are carried out to the highest of standards.


Responsibilities

  • Detect and analyse reported product issues on systems and products returned to the service department. Address issues through to resolution, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Read & understand schematics and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of parts, components, or systems to meet quality standards.
  • Ensure repairs and assembly follow specified instructions and use specified parts.
  • Notify supervisors of defect detection and help analyze and correct production problems.
  • Install electronic parts and hardware using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  • Test the performance of repairs or assemblies using test instruments as specified.
  • Update diagnostic case with required action for returning products to standard and liaise with customer for authorization if repair is outside of warranty.
  • Monitor repairs and highlight trends or recurring issues to supervisor.
  • Analyse and record test results, completing required documentation.
  • Produce entire products or sub‑assembly components following Work Instructions.
  • Maintain equipment and tools.
  • Cut, position, align, fasten, and install parts accurately.
  • Conduct quality control checks on products before returning to customer.
  • Perform small‑scale production of electronic devices – wiring, precision assembly.
  • Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
  • Operate electronic inspection equipment and software when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and a positive attitude to all customers, staff, and external providers.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required to utilize skills and experience.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm. Overtime as needed. Saturday 8 am – 12 pm.
