About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electro Mechanical Service Technician to join our global aftermarket team, based at NOV Kintore with travel to NOV and customer locations worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for the service and repair of NOV Wireline equipment, ensuring on-time delivery and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You will troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting operational excellence. This is a customer-facing role that offers the opportunity to work both in the workshop and on-site across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to accurately assemble and repair equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment, including diagnosing faults, replacing defective components, and ensuring correct reassembly and operation.
  • Carry out rework and repairs in line with engineering specifications.
  • Support safety, quality, cost, and delivery KPIs, escalating concerns and reporting non-conformances.
  • Maintain organised workspaces and accurate documentation in compliance with company standards.
  • Participate in daily team briefings, actively contributing to discussions and process improvements.
  • Travel to customer sites and NOV bases domestically and internationally (onshore/offshore) as required.

Desired Responsibilities

  • Generate and implement improvement ideas, encouraging team innovation.
  • Support initiatives such as new techniques, product improvements, and machinery upgrades.
  • Assist supervisors in quality investigations and contribute to eradicating non-conformance issues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Essential Qualifications
  • HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience – ensures core technical expertise.
  • CompEx certification – provides safe working practices in hazardous areas.
  • Related technical experience in Electrical/Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • In-date OPITO BOSIET offshore training.


  • Desired Qualifications
  • HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience within an assembly and manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming.
