We have a fantastic new vacancy for A Duty Manager to join our team at the Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Duty Manager will oversee the running of key functions in the hotel, as well as supporting the Hotel Manager and Department Managers, in their roles.

Responsibilities
  • You are a real ambassador for the hotel and you support various departments during busy moments;
  • You work proactively and try to handle various matters as well as possible;
  • Among other things, you will be dealing with complaint handling or solving various problems;
  • Especially where guest satisfaction is of paramount importance;
  • Ensure quality and standards are met consistently.
  • Quality control of the rooms and suites;
  • Have full knowledge of the hotel and all departments
  • Recognising VIP guests on a daily basis and alerting the rest of the team;
  • Responding to online guest feedback;
  • Analyse guest feedback, determine points for improvement and implement accordingly;
  • Supervising the general well-being of the hotel, hotel guests and employees;
  • Guaranteeing safety through security rounds through the hotel;
  • Supporting the Hotel Manager in their daily activities;
  • Representing the management team in their absence;
  • Organise and attend Management Meetings.
Profile
  • You are service minded and your focus is on the guest experience
  • You have an eye for details

  • You are creative in handling and resolving our guest feedback
  • You have great energy and you are a people person
  • You are flexible and positive
  • You have experience working in operational departments within a hotel before (ideally some FO and F&B experience)
  • You are good with technology and any knowledge from Opera (PMS) would be a plus
  • A little bit of stress and pressure does not bother you
