About the Role:

The e-bike mechanic is a critical, customer-facing role at Zoomo, directly fuelling our operational success. We are looking for a customer-obsessed problem solver who demonstrates a high level of drive, commitment and a proactive work ethic. You will be the essential link ensuring our customers have a seamless and exceptional experience. The work will primarily involve performing maintenance, repairs and diagnostics, both at Zoomo service sites and on-location at customer premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety inspection of e-bikes at customer sites and documentation of checks on Zoomo systems.
  • Repair and servicing of bikes to the highest of standards as expected by Zoomo.
  • Diagnose required services, fault find and service Zoomo e-bikes to enable them to return to the rider in a safe and fully operational condition.
  • Perform inspections on available fleet and returns to ensure no cosmetic damage, all electronics components and other essential components are fully functioning.
  • Ensure that the workshop is kept tidy and in tip-top shape.
  • Promote our values when interacting with riders and suppliers.
  • You will serve as a Zoomo ambassador and on-site representative at our customer locations, ensuring our brand and product are consistently presented to the highest standard.

Requirements

  • Required:
    • Experience working as a bike mechanic (electric or not), we are willing to consider candidates coming from other fields such as car or motorcycle mechanics.
    • Ability and drive to work independently with little or no direct supervision
    • Flexibility to work shifts and remotely in different sites
    • To be able to work as part of a team, collaborating with the Zoomo teams worldwide
    • A passion for bikes!
  • Nice to have:
    • Cytech Level 2 bicycle mechanics training or equivalent would be ideal but not essential.
    • A full UK driving licence and a motorbike licence and/or CBT
    • Working knowledge of how bikes are assembled and repaired
    • Familiarity with all types of bikes and accessories
    • Experience with e-bikes or lithium ion batteries
    • Relevant industry experience (cycling, food delivery, mobility, technology)
