To be part of the Paediatric Physiotherapy team in Redbridge, having oversight of the EHCP provision across the Mainstream Schools caseload and to support the development of this provision.

Main duties of the job

As the post holder you will be responsible for the oversight of the EHCP provision for our mainstream children under guidance of the clinical service lead. Strong communication skills essential for liaison across the Education settings, multi-disciplinary teams, families and children. To deputise when required in the team managers absence. You will undertake supervision of junior staff and students.

Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941 - per annum, pro rata for part time).

Job responsibilities

The job will require excellent physiotherapy and communication skills to coordinate the EHCP provision for the mainstream children of Redbridge schools and their families.

  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
Experience
  • Experience of working with children with EHCPs and writing reports for EHCP
  • Working with a paediatric caseload
  • Able to adapt clinical knowledge and experience to various settings
  • Understanding of PT process, models and evidence-based practice in PT
Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - including observation, listening and empathy skills
  • Able to devise clear care plan based on client centred goals
