This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cardio-Respiratory team at Leighton Hospital, where your work will have a direct impact on patient outcomes. You will manage complex acute and chronic cardiac and respiratory patients, helping them recover faster, regain independence, and achieve the best possible quality of life. Your role will also help the hospital reduce length of stay and improve patient flow, making a real difference to the efficiency of the service.

At a time of major transformation -- with a new hospital build, the launch of a ward-based respiratory support unit, and the introduction of digital clinical systems -- your contribution will shape how services are delivered and improve care across the Trust.

We are looking for Cardio-Respiratory Physiotherapist at Band 7 level who wants to use their expertise to make measurable improvements in patient care and help expand a pioneering service. You will be supported to develop professionally while achieving tangible results for patients and the team.

You will be expected to fully support the emergency respiratory evening on-call rota. You must therefore have a UK driving licence and access to a car as necessary.

Person SpecificationExperience

  • Significant NHS experience in acute hospital setting
  • Significant experience of leading a team in an acute NHS hospital setting
  • Experience of rostering staffing

Skills

  • Recent active membership of respiratory on-call service
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Led clinical audit /service improvement project completed

Knowledge

  • Leadership training
  • Clinical educator training
  • Advanced physiotherapy knowledge and post grad training in acute medical setting
