Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist - Pelvic Health, Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Closing date: 23 October 2025.

To perform advanced holistic physiotherapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a clinical diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment plan.

To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision. Access to advice and support from a Senior Therapist is available as required. Supervision takes the form of regular informal/formal discussion and teaching, clinical reasoning sessions and peer review.

To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.

Supervise, educate, and assess the performance of less experienced physiotherapist and assistants, this would be to a graduate standard and involve working with the Senior Therapist, as required, to ensure the standards of practice of the department are met.

Our patients are benefitting from our Women\'s Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George\'s Health and Wellbeing Hub.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 94,000 scans a year.

Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.
