Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant - MSK

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Therapy Assistant to join our Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Team. This role involves working closely with an experienced team in an outpatient setting, including provision of exercise on an individual or group basis. Support and training will be provided to fulfil the duties in this role, with ongoing support from the wider team. The post also involves some administrative tasks for the outpatient department and providing skilled routine and non-routine clinical and technical support to the team and clerical staff.

• Accept patients allocated by the Therapists, assess and treat according to protocols and guidelines.
• Monitor patient progression and modify interventions as required.
• Work independently with access to direct supervision as required; maintain close communication with the team to facilitate patient care.
• Organise and participate in the team induction and in-service training programmes; routinely provide in-service training to team colleagues.
• Carry out other duties deemed necessary by the Lead Clinician in discussion with the post holder to ensure adequate provision of service.
• Provide administrative and clerical support as part of the outpatient team.
