Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our Adult Therapy Services Department at UHBW permanently, rotating across both Bristol and Weston sites. Rotations are 6 months in duration and cover a wide range of experiences including Musculoskeletal Disorders, Trauma and Orthopaedics, General Medicine & Medical Respiratory, Older People’s Rehab, Cardiac, Surgery/ITU and Stroke. An acute stroke rotation is based at North Bristol Trust (Southmead Hospital).

Responsibilities
  • Act as an autonomous practitioner, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment, and managing your own patient caseload within a speciality team, with support and mentoring of senior physiotherapists.
  • Plan and prioritise your own workload, delegating tasks as appropriate and communicating progress with the multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Supervise and train Technical Instructors and Students as required.
  • Work shifts including weekends, participate in the bank holiday rota and contribute to a 24/7 respiratory on‑call rota.
  • Travel to sites across Bristol and Weston both during the day and for overnight on‑calls.
Qualifications
  • HCPC registration required.
