About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Solution Architect with a strong background in financial services to join a dynamic and forward-thinking technology team. This role will be pivotal in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions tailored to the needs of financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and architect AWS cloud solutions for financial applications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Lead cloud migration projects and modernisation initiatives across financial platforms.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data security in all cloud architectures.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development and infrastructure teams.
Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Optimize cloud costs and performance through continuous monitoring and improvement.
Stay current with AWS services and financial technology trends.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as an AWS Solution Architect in the financial sector.
Strong understanding of financial systems, compliance, and data governance.
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional).
Expertise in cloud security, IAM, encryption, and secure networking.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

Experience with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, Basel III).
Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Background in fintech or banking technology transformation projects.
