This post is a Physiotherapy Team Leader for The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at North Manchester General Hospital.


Main duties of the job

Clinical leadership of the Acute Medical Unit Physiotherapy team.


This role involves close MDT working, in particular with Occupational Therapy colleagues on AMU.


The post holder will also need to be flexible to offer clinical support to other In‑patient teams within the department as required.


Band 7 Team Lead staff are required to lead the development of staff within their team.


Band 7 Team Lead staff are required to lead the development of their service.


The post holder will need to have Respiratory competency in order to manage patients on AMU, and contribute to the NMGH weekend working service.

Person Specification
Qualifications

  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • HPC registration.
  • Evidence of CPD in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio.
  • Evidence of relevant post graduate training.
  • Evidence of relevant post graduate training/courses in specific clinical areas appropriate to post
  • Membership of relevant special interest group

Experience

  • Appropriate level of post registration experience.
  • Previous experience across a broad range of rotations
  • Research and Development awareness and/or experience
  • Previous experience in a Senior role
