We welcome applications from individuals seeking part time roles. The post holder/s will work with our physiotherapy team and employers to deliver our undergraduate physiotherapy programmes (including an apprenticeship offer). The programmes have been designed collaboratively with key stakeholders; the post holder will work closely with our stakeholders on a continuing basis. You will also have opportunity to participate in research and knowledge exchange activities coordinated by the Faculty’s Institute of Lifecourse Development (ILD).

The School background: The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty, frequently commended for our partnership working across the health and social care sector. Supported by our simulation strategy and resources, the school delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate courses leading to registration in allied healthcare, nursing and midwifery professions. The University has invested over £8 million in the development of a state-of-the-art simulation centre, which further enhances our record of teaching, research and knowledge exchange innovation. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. The School currently runs a successful undergraduate physiotherapy programme in its portfolio and are looking to appoint experienced physiotherapy educator/s.

The Post

The Person
  • You will be an experienced physiotherapist with a background in education and/or research to teach across our pre-registration physiotherapy programme.
  • Your clinical expertise will ideally be neurological and/or musculoskeletal.
  • You will have a passion for education, thrive on seeing students succeed, have ambition and an inquiring mind.
  • You will have opportunity to complete a PGCHE and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, as well as contribute to faculty wide research and enterprise activities.
  • The University has an established career framework which offers opportunity for promotion through an annual application process.
