The Role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be assigned to a project(s). Experience in the following activities and deliverables is very desirable.


Key Objectives

  • Oversight of Engineering Drawings: Piping & Instrumentation Diagram, General Assembly Drawing, Assembly Drawing, Component Drawing, Mechanical Sequence Diagram, Process Flow Diagram, Equipment Layout Diagrams
  • Production of Engineering Calculations: Structural Calculations, Pipe / Duct Sizing Calculations, Stability Calculations, PD5500 Calculations
  • Production of Engineering Documents: Plant / Equipment Schedule, Designer's Risk Assessment, ARM Assessment, Technical Specifications, Design Substantiation Report, Method Statement, Risk Assessment, Optioneering Report, Bill of Materials, Outline Installation Method Statement, Operation & Maintenance Manual, Critical Spares List, Basis of Design

Person Specification

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a technical discipline

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience of having the accountability for delivering projects within the type of projects delivered by NSG
  • Experience of delivering projects using a recognised quality system & requirement

Skills & Abilities

  • Familiar with structuring and presentation of own work
  • Ability to prepare and present reports, documentation and information in support of project delivery
  • Able to organise and prioritise own work and manage teams to effectively deliver projects
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate technical data

Package – Staff only

Hours – 37.5 hours per week
