This role is to design, build and commissioning various Engineering Capital projects both in the UK and in the EU. Work closely with all Engineering disciplines and Operations stakeholders to develop designs which allow the company to achieve its business goals of recycling used refrigerant gases, working towards net-zero, expanding the business and increasing profitability. The role will be to prepare designs and sub-contract technical packages for the design, construction and commissioning phases of capital projects at A-Gas UK/EU sites.

You will be working as part of a cross-disciplinary EU Engineering team located in the UK and NL, supporting local Engineering teams on sites throughout Europe.


Essential

o HNC/HND or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

o Fluent in English.

o Experience working as part of a project engineering team

o Experience of HAZOPs & Mechanical engineering documentation

o An understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards.

o Experience of AutoCAD inventor or similar

o Ability to read P&ID drawings.

o Able to coordinate and work effectively with external contractors

o Industrial safety knowledge and experience

o Excellent organisational, planning, communication and time management skills.

o Able to anticipate and solve problems related to projects.

o Strong collaboration and team working skills Able to travel within Europe as and when required

o A strong team player, able to integrate and work closely with other disciplines

Desirable

o Experience of chemical processing plant and pressurised liquefied gas systems.

o Understanding of relevant industry regulations and standard such as ATEX, Pressure Equipment Directive.

o Knowledge of best practice engineering design processes

o Willingness to provide hands on support to plant where necessary
