As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB), you will work in a creative and challenging environment, delivering a wide range of projects across our United Utilities framework.

MMB is one of seven partners supporting United Utilities in delivering £3bn worth of upgrades to critical infrastructure assets, including water and wastewater treatment sites, pumping stations, and reservoirs within the North West during the AMP8 period.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Mechanical Engineer include:

  1. Leading the interfaces and integration of the mechanical design with other disciplines.
  2. Managing, reviewing, and preparing mechanical design deliverables such as calculations, drawings, documentation, schedules, specifications, and reports to balance project constraints.
  3. Providing quality assurance through checks and reviews of work by others.
  4. Supporting the development of the mechanical engineering team by coaching and mentoring junior engineers and identifying appropriate resources for projects.

Candidate specifications:

Qualified Mechanical Engineer (preferably Chartered or Incorporated).

Experience in water or wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure design.
