Responsibilities

  • Deliver and manage technical engineering studies.
  • Own mechanical engineering processes from strategic and conceptual phases through detailed design, manufacture design, and construction & commissioning support, producing deliverables such as technical notes, substantiation reports, Mechanical Flow Diagrams, flow‑sheets, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, mechanical layout drawings, hazard and malfunction management records, and technical/manufacturing specification documentation reviews from the supply chain.
  • Conduct technical studies related to mechanical handling for handling operations, heavy mechanical transfer systems, and powder mechanical processes (transport, milling, compaction) in high‑activity environments and gloveboxes, as well as compaction and mechanical dismantling technologies.
  • Communicate and answer technical queries with manufacturers to ensure specifications and design intent are adhered to.
  • Network technically within Orano, collaborating with Orano experts.
  • Communicate effectively, liaising confidently with external stakeholders and team members, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate proactivity by independently seeking or developing solutions to challenging technical questions.
  • Maintain a questioning attitude, analyzing situations and challenging conditions, activities, or solutions to support continuous improvement and develop best‑practice areas.
  • Exhibit organisational excellence by managing one’s own time and the time of others to meet internal/external deadlines and exceed client expectations.
