If the answer is yes, then we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our encouraging and welcoming team of dedicated military and civilian healthcare professionals and administrative staff located at Aldershot Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility.

The vacant post is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The job role of the physiotherapist working within defence is to provide comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This includes undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in the Musculo-skeletal/sports and training injury area.

To provide a positive caring environment, in which patients can expect a high-quality professional service.

This will include undertaking highly skilled and specialist work, peer review and support to other physiotherapists and Exercise Rehabilitation Instructors (ERIs) working within Aldershot Combined Medical Practice. The role will be based at Aldershot Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility but there will be an expectation to work at Minley Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility as and when required.

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Assessing, diagnosing, clinically reason and formulate appropriate treatment plans. Developing and delivering a specialised individual treatment program using evidence-based practice, manual assessment, and appropriate clinical reasoning. Have a good understanding of conditions to maximise patient rehabilitation potential.
• Communicating effectively with patients to ensure informed consent and develop good therapeutic relationships. Liaising with multidisciplinary colleagues and advising Medical Officers regarding specialist physiotherapy recommendations.
• Managing and prioritising your own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively.
• The provision of complex clinical reports to supply clinical prognosis and onward referrals to other health professionals.
• Take part in a variety of CPD activities and regular in-service training sessions.
