Mobile BMS Engineer – York

We’re looking for a skilled Mobile BMS Engineer to join our innovative and rapidly growing digital engineering team, working across York and Surrounding Areas. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to work on cutting-edge smart building technologies across a diverse range of sectors- including commercial, retail, healthcare, education, and government.

Be Part of the Future of Smart Buildings
As a key member of our mobile engineering team, you'll help deliver BMS (Building Management System) infrastructure upgrades that not only boost building performance but also lay the foundation for IoT and smart-enabled environments. You'll work on projects ranging from £10k to £1.5m+, combining hands-on engineering with real strategic impact.

As a Mobile BMS Engineer, you’ll take ownership of maintaining, upgrading, and optimising BMS systems across multiple client sites. You’ll provide critical support in driving energy efficiency, system reliability, and digital transformation for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain BMS hardware and software (controllers, sensors, actuators, etc.).

  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on Trend, Tridium (Niagara), and Distech systems.

  • Take part in the reactive call-out rota (with paid incentives).

  • Offer technical guidance and performance insights to clients.

  • Identify and recommend system improvements or upgrade opportunities.

  • Prepare technical proposals and quotations for enhancements or new BMS solutions.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience with BMS and HVAC systems.

  • Hands-on experience with Trend, Tridium, Distech, or Siemens systems.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical schematics and control panel diagnostics.

  • Familiarity with IT networks and AutoCAD.
