Overview

What Are We Looking For? Due to continued growth, WES, part of the RSE Group, is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join us on a permanent basis at our Fabrication Workshop in Pontyclun. You will work alongside an established team and be required to assist with the fabrication and build of our chemical dosing units which will be used in the successful delivery of Water projects throughout the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Dismantle and re-assemble mechanical and plastic assemblies.
  • Carrying out fabrication and welding of plastic pipework.
  • Inspect equipment and identify faulty components.
  • Ensure quality, environmental and health and safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance work on plant and equipment.
  • Ensure safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to a high and safe standard.
Qualifications
  • Possess a mechanical understanding and knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Hydrostatic systems.
  • Experienced in mechanical discipline, preferably with experience working with plastics or in an industrial or workshop environment.
  • The ability to understand and use schematics and maintenance drawings to analyse, assess, and find faults within these systems.
  • To be organised and have the ability to plan a sequence of events, which are required to remove and reinstall components within a working system.
  • A willingness and ability to learn new skills.
  • Capable of self-checking work and to possess high personal standards with respect to Environment, Quality and Health & Safety.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
