Job Description

The Job Mission
This is a hybrid role, and we are only able to consider candidates within a commutable distance of Bridgwater. For those relocating, we offer a relocation package to help with the move. You’ll be supporting the Commissioning & Operations team on one of the UK’s most complex nuclear builds. Your future team will rely on you to ensure that commissioning processes remain robust, consistent, and aligned with industry expectations.

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end processes from design through to handover
  • Ensure process compatibility with existing commissioning procedures and regulations
  • Create and update process flow diagrams and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve process issues
  • Champion best practices and drive continuous improvement in commissioning activities
  • Support internal reviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
  • Use MS Visio, Excel, and Word to document clear and structured process steps
  • Work with engineering teams to align process expectations across multiple disciplines

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering background
  • Ability to create and interpret process flow diagrams and system schematics
  • Experience developing or improving technical processes or procedures
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Visio and Excel
  • Good analytical and structured problem-solving ability
  • Experience in highly regulated environments
  • Familiarity with project risk and quality control principles
  • Understanding of CDM or Health & Safety frameworks
  • Basic commercial or contractual awareness
  • Knowledge of engineering assurance and compliance practices
