Mechanical Fitter Job Details and Benefits;

£28,054.26 - £30,632.94 per annum
Hours are 42.75 p/week to be worked flexibly (5.55am-3pm OR 6.55-4pm Mon-Thurs and 5.55am-2.50pm OR 6.55-3.50pm Fridays) some later finishes may occur due to breakdowns, but this is not routine. Permanent
28 days holiday, rising to 31 after 1 full years service inclusive of bank holidays
PPE is provided and laundered through an external company


Mechanical Fitter Job Duties;

Maintenance, refurbishment, installation and fabrication of existing plant, machinery and equipment
Servicing, repairs and operational checks on all machinery
Fabrication of steel or other composite items
Fabrication of moulds
Using various hand tools to complete tasks
Machinery includes but not limited to; FLTs, power tools, extruded concrete machines, saws, strippers, moulds, overhead cranes, steel press, riveters, plate tables, conveyors, mixing plant, crushing plant
Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
Adhering to strict Health & Safety rules and regulations

Mechanical Fitter Person Specification;

Proven engineering manufacturing experience is an advantage however mechanically minded candidates maybe considered depending on experience
Good mechanical skills
Happy to work in a loud dusty and oily environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision on occasions
