As our Lead Physiotherapist, you will take the clinical and operational lead for the Physiotherapy team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred neurorehabilitation across our Level 1C Neurobehavioural Unit and Level 2A Complex Disability Management Unit, within an established, dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT). The role:

Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

Key duties and responsibilities: Lead and manage a skilled Physiotherapy team, including Band 7s, Band 6s, Band 5s, assistants, and students, fostering a supportive and high-performing culture
Deliver and oversee specialist, evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for adults with acquired brain injury and complex neurological conditions
Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for your team, supporting their growth and maintaining high clinical standards
Work collaboratively within a dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing to integrated care planning, goal setting, and patient reviews
Oversee the coordination of physiotherapy input, from assessment through to discharge, ensuring continuity of care and optimal outcomes
Embed reflective practice, clinical governance, and outcome measurement into everyday practice
Contribute to service development through research, audit, and innovation, supporting Blackheath's vision of being a leader in neurorehabilitation
Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders, ensuring a joined-up and compassionate approach to care
Play a key role in training and educating colleagues across the MDT on physiotherapy principles, interventions and best practice.
Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights
What you'll bring: HCPC registration
Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
Significant experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting
Confident in leading a team and providing clinical supervision
Strong communication, leadership and service development skills
Passionate about evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
