About the role

Hayley 24/7 is looking for a talented Electrical & Mechanical Fitter to join our well-established specialist electric motor repair team at our branch in Kings Lynn. You will be on a full time, permanent basis and receive a competitive salary.


At Hayley 24/7, our purpose is to work with customers to maintain operations, increase efficiency, reduce total cost of ownership, and secure asset performance gains. We provide quality round‑the‑clock coverage for planned, predictive and reactive maintenance and repairs.


Responsibilities

  • Site attendance & site assessment where required
  • Stripping, overhauling, and repairing industrial gearboxes, pumps, and electric motors plus other general mechanical equipment
  • Emergency call out to customers’ requirements
  • Liaising with customers in job execution, if required
  • Ensuring excellent quality standards through final inspection and pass off process
  • Following set procedures and guidelines
  • Working on your own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Good housekeeping attitude
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required
  • High degree of self‑motivation
  • Strictly adhering to all Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Part of a call out rota

Working hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday


Qualifications / What we’re looking for

  • Experienced mechanical fitter with knowledge of industrial gearboxes, pumps and electric motors assembly and refurbishment
  • Experienced in the fitting of bearings and other precision components
  • Capable of using precision workshop measuring equipment (i.e., micrometers and verniers)
  • Trained and experienced in the use of overhead cranes and slinging
  • Forklift licence and experience is an advantage
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Problem solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
