You need to have access to your own vehicle due to the location of the workshop to be considered for this position. (BASED IN OUTSKIRTS SOUTH-EAST OF LINCOLN)


We are looking for an experienced Design/Projects Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background. This is a permanent role.


You would ideally be an experienced mechanical engineering professional with a solid background in technical drawings and 3D design, especially in SolidWorks. Known for a focused, results‑driven approach, you'd also bring a positive attitude and steady reliability to every project. Dedicated and detail‑minded, you consistently deliver quality work and can be counted on to follow through.


My client is an innovative manufacturer with a strong reputation in the industrial sector. This role offers real hands‑on involvement in the full design lifecycle from concept through to production. You’ll be involved in a variety of projects, including the design of industrial valves and other bespoke mechanical components.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Using SolidWorks or AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.
  • Preparing quotes and issuing jobs to the workshop.
  • Tracking job progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Ordering equipment and materials from suppliers and coordinating deliveries.
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Maintaining a keen eye for detail and upholding strong work ethic standards.

About You

  • Engineering degree or relevant technical qualifications.
  • Confident interpreting drawings and technical information.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Competent with SolidWorks.
  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn from senior tradespeople.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to take on responsibilities when needed.
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.

You’ll be part of a supportive, friendly, and highly experienced team.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum – DOE


Benefits: On‑site parking, supportive team‑oriented environment, opportunity to work on a wide range of custom and interesting projects.


Hours: Monday‑Thursday - 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday - 7:30am - 1pm
