Clinical Support Assistant (Physiotherapy)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Physiotherapy Band 3 Clinical Support Assistant to join our experienced, dedicated and forward thinking mental health Physiotherapy Inpatients service. This post, based at St Georges Park Morpeth will provide Physiotherapy led interventions to inpatients who have a wide range of mental and physical health issues and will work across Working Age Adult and Older Person's pathways.

• 
  
• Support the delivery of specialist group sessions to patients.
  
• Support the delivery of specialist education sessions.
  
• Provide 1:1 sessions under the guidance of a qualified Physiotherapist.
  
• Manage and maintain equipment and handle administrative duties.
  
• Assist in the delivery of physiotherapy care to service users with a variety of needs, including mental health, learning disabilities and/or neurological conditions, under the direction of a registered physiotherapist.
  
• Accept newly allocated cases from the physiotherapy team, deliver treatment in accordance with set protocols after assessment and handover, and monitor patient progress with regular feedback to therapists and nurses.
  
• Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
  
• Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
  
• Actively engage with the supervision and appraisal process as identified in Trust Policy.

• Enthusiastic and experienced in working within a multidisciplinary team.
  
• Demonstrate good communication skills and a basic knowledge of rehabilitation and exercise.
  
• Team player capable of working flexibly as well as independently but under supervision to meet service needs.
