We are seeking an Aircraft Workshop Mehanic to be based at Vista Aircraft Maintenance, Farnborough. This role is expected to be Monday-Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.


Your Responsibilities

  • Use approved maintenance data such as CMM, AMM, IPC, drawings, Job cards/work orders.
  • Repair and maintain aircraft wheels and batteries.
  • Manage workshop stock, checking and looking after inventory.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and workplace in a serviceable condition according to company standards.
  • Undertake basic maintenance tasks on aircraft when not at full capacity in the workshop.
  • Promote a Just culture.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety policies and report all incidents and occurrences through the Company Safety Management System.
  • Any other task in line with the role as required by VAMF in order to provide a full and efficient Aircraft Workshop Mechanic service.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Must have an aeronautical school diploma/certificate or a technical school diploma/certificate or an aeronautical military school diploma/certificate (as per MOE).
  • Be fully competent in the use of a PC.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old (as per MOE).
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Must be able to undertake physical elements of role such as working in small spaces, heavy lifting and/or working at height.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake maintenance tasks on aircraft additional to workshop tasks.
  • Good understanding of Human Factors.
  • Flexible and able to manage varying demands and workloads
  • Previous experience working in a wheel or battery workshop is advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous Workshop experience in a relevant industry is advantageous but not essential.
