Manufacturing Coordinator
Location: Norwich
Salary: Up to £30,000
Start Date: Immediate
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

I'm currently supporting a growing environmental technology company in their search for a Manufacturing Coordinator to join their in-house production and engineering team. This role is well-suited to someone with a practical mindset, strong attention to detail, and an interest in electronics, IoT, or sustainability.

The Role
This is a hands-on, workshop-based position (with occasional field support), where you'll be involved in the assembly, testing, and preparation of specialist environmental monitoring systems. These systems are designed to operate in some of the most remote and challenging environments, so quality and reliability are key.

Responsibilities include:

Assembly of electronic and mechanical components.

Testing and calibration of sensors, power systems, and communication modules (GSM, LoRa, NB-IoT, Satellite).

Following documented build procedures to ensure product consistency.

Quality control, packing, and preparation of units for shipment.

Stock tracking and workshop organisation.

Supporting occasional field deployments (full training provided).

Working closely with engineering and R&D teams to improve build processes.

Candidate Profile:

Qualification or background in electronics, engineering, or similar technical discipline.

Experience with tools, soldering, or test equipment - professional or hobbyist.

Familiarity with basic electronics, wiring, and assembly techniques.

Methodical, process-driven, and safety-conscious.

Interest in sustainability, environmental data, or IoT technologies.

Team-oriented with good communication skills.

UK driving licence preferred for occasional off-site work.

What's Offered:

Competitive salary up to £30,000

Immediate start available

Full training and exposure to modern environmental technologies

Supportive and collaborative working environment

Opportunities for career progression as the company expands

Involvement in meaningful work with real-world impact

There is only one position available, and interviews are being arranged immediately. If this sounds like a good fit, feel free to get in touch directly to discuss further in confidence

Where to Advertise Edge Computing Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise edge computing jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and channels that reach embedded, IoT, 5G MEC and edge AI engineering talent. Edge computing sits at the intersection of embedded systems, networking, cloud infrastructure and real-time data processing — and the professionals who specialise in it are a small, highly technical community not well served by general job boards. Candidates with genuine edge and IoT expertise are rarely browsing general platforms, and roles in this space are frequently misunderstood or miscategorised by non-specialist recruiters. This guide, published by EdgeComputingJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise edge computing roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
